In January, Finlay Beverages was the official coffee partner of the Restaurant Marketer and Innovator conference in London.
Over two days, and together with espresso machine partners, La Cimbali and Fracino, we were delighted to serve coffee to over 250 delegates, made up of senior leaders in the restaurant marketing and innovation space.
Finlays was showcasing a new blend concept, Abacus Espresso, composed of high quality coffees from Ethiopia, Colombia and Indonesia with the audience delivering overwhelmingly positive feedback and immediate loyalty, with many delegates returning to the espresso bar again and again!
Finlays Global Head of Coffee, Tom Blackwall commented:
“We’ve been supplying the UK coffee industry for 111 years now and the technical and manufacturing standards demanded by our retail customers mean that our quality standards are second to none. We’re here to showcase how we can demonstrate that leveraging such a trusted partner to the global coffee industry can help out of home operators overcome some of the challenges that they currently face as an industry.”
David Jameson, who recently joined the team as Coffee Business Development Manager, added:
“I’ve been supremely impressed by the depth of connection to some of the producers we’re working with, many of whom have been partners with Finlays for over 15 years. To do direct trade as well as this at this scale is truly impressive. It gives me great peace of mind that through the fully traceable supply networks we work with we are able to deliver consistency of quality and flavour year in year out.”
Senior Business Development Manager Chris Talkes agreed:
“This is Coffee Expertise from the heart and the head! The coffee team here at Finlays absolutely love coffee and we have some of the world’s foremost coffee experts here ready and waiting to analyse your coffee and find a way to match or improve it.”
