FINLAYS COMMITMENT TO CLIMATE NET ZERO FOR THE TEA & COFFEE INDUSTRY

Protecting the Planet to
Safeguard Tea and Coffee

Climate instability is an immediate threat to global tea and coffee production. Rising temperatures, wildfires, flooding, and droughts are making production increasingly difficult and more expensive. If we don’t act now, supply shortages, poor quality, and price volatility will threaten the overall prosperity of our industry.

Our ambition is to achieve 50% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2040 i.

iiFLAG stands for Forestry, Land and Agriculture

iiiThe Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a network of organisations which defines and promote best practice in emissions reductions and net-zero targets in line with climate science.
Asking SBTi to validate our targets aligns Finlays with best practice on our approach to achieving carbon net-zero
