Finlays is proud to announce that Shaun Galligan, Head of Environmental Health and Safety for the Americas, is a recipient of this years “40 Under Forty” award from the Providence Business News.
The Providence Business News presents the “40 Under Forty” award to individuals under 40 who are recognised as business professionals within Rhode Island that are making a difference as leaders within their respective industries, disciplines, and communities, on a local, national, or international scale. Shaun and the other recipients of the award were announced on Friday 12th of June.
Shaun, 31, is the Head of Environmental Health and Safety for the Americas portion of the global Finlays organisation. His primary role includes overall compliance of environmental, occupational health and safety for local, state and federal regulations which are related to Finlays North American operations. Shaun is a Certified Environmental and Safety Compliance Officer (CESCO) through the National Registry of Environmental Professionals and is a registered lead auditor, with over a decade of domestic and international regulatory experience. Throughout the recent COVID-19 pandemic, Shaun played an integral role in leading the internal Crisis Management Team to activate, modify, and implement the business contingency plan ensuring the company remained safely operational as an essential business.
Shaun has served on several State safety or emergency management boards, holding the appointed positions of either Director, Treasurer, or Board Member. Shaun is an active and passionate member of the Warwick community, often affiliated with local foundations, political organisations, or youth sports programs.
Shaun attended the OSHA Region 1 Training Institute at Keene State College, where he completed the Public Sector Safety & Health Official programme.
